Description

The Staff Internal Auditor will support the planning and execution of internal audits and control processes at Applied Underwriters. This role is integral to ensuring that controls are well-designed and operating effectively, in alignment with professional standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical abilities and communication skills to operate effectively within a complex environment and build positive working relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • One year of experience working at an auditing firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or relevant equivalent experience).
  • Foundational understanding of auditing principles, internal controls, and risk assessment within financial or operational processes.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail to accurately document audit workpapers, evaluate processes, and identify control gaps.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
