The Insurance Accountant is primarily responsible for maintaining and properly accounting for all the premium, reinsurance, loss, and reserving transactions of a growing insurance company.  This person will also review all other accounting areas of the Insurance Company and the financial statements for reasonableness, accuracy and compliance.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • One to two years of accounting experience, preferably, in the property and casualty insurance industry
  • Experience with Annual Statements (yellow book) preparation.
  • Knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong Excel skills.
